Old Time Klezmer from east Europe. - Some young, music-obsessed, Jewish Americans who moved to Budapest, founded a Klezmer band there along with Hungarian friends, and set about seeking the source of their culture in the villages of Rumania, Moldavia, and the Ukraine. From this comes a music about which my friend Paula says, "If I ever marry, that's the band I'd like to play at my wedding." This music is like a lump of good earth, but these musicians are reaching for the stars.
